FINAL RECOUNT TEXT

At Grandma’s House
(Final Test)


In the previous Lebaran I and my family went to my grandma’s house. We did our custom that was mudik Lebaran. It probably took 3 hours to reach my grandma’s house. We were very excited because we hadn’t met for long time.

In the next day after our arrival, in the morning exactly, my uncle invited us to go to the farm. The farm was so large and there is beautiful scenery. I could feel fresh air and convenient place. That was harvest time, so I helped my uncle to reap rice. It was exhausting but very fun.

Then, we began to pick some vegetables like spinach, eggplant and chili. We also picked some fruits like guava. My mother picked the vegetables and fruits to the kitchen. Then she and grandma began to cook. I and my uncle continued our activity and tried to take a rest for a while.

Next, I was invited to go fishing. Without thinking I accepted it. The water was so clear and the river was also so charming. Many fish appeared on the surface. A few minutes later I felt something heavy. I thought I had a big fish. Unfortunately the fish escaped when I was pulling the rod. However it was nothing I just got a sock!. My uncle laughed of it and advised to try again. Then I could catch five or six fish.

After finishing for nearly 5 hours, we went to my grandma’s house. Then we enjoyed the fish for dinner. We baked them and the taste was so yummy. We ate together with my big family. When we baked the fish we were telling our own life story in the past time.

I was quiet happy because I could meet with my big family and felt the amazing environment of village which I couldn’t get in Semarang. For me, it was an amusing experience.
