“NARRATIVE TEXT”
Submitted to Fulfil the Final Assignment of Genre Based Writing

Studying at Semarang State University
Once upon a time, there was a student named Rio. He was not good at all in English. However, his parents believed that English is very important nowadays, besides his parents asked Rio to be a teacher. Therefore, they decided to send Rio to study at Semarang State University. They believed that that University is the best University for Rio to study. They hope that, one day later Rio could be an English teacher.
At the first year, it was hard for Rio to get a good score like his friends. He was desperate and asked her lecturer to move to the other major.
“Rio, you have to focus on what you want to get! You want to be an English teacher. It is what you said at the interview. Still remember that?” said his lecturer.
“Ok, Ma’am. I’ll try to do my best.”
“I get your words!”
Now, it has been 5 years ago since Rio feel desperate to studying English, especially grammar, poetry, and phonology. Nevertheless, now Rio realizes that his parents were true and the supports from his lecturer and his friends, he was able to graduate with GPA 3.12. It is not too bad and he can make them proud because now he is working English at one of the favourite vocational school at Solo.
