The Legend of Tugel Mountain

Once upon a time, there was a man called Kiai Singaprana whom the grand child of Raden Joko Dandun or well known as Syekh Bela-Belu son of Brawijaya, the last king of Majapahit. Kiai Singaprana lived in Boyolali.

Singaprana was a kind-hearted person. He always helped the people who needed help. His life was so simple, but happiness always covered his face. However, there was a man who hated Singaprana so much, he was Raga Ranting.

One day, Raga Ranting couldn’t close his eyes. His chest was hot and his heart was trembled, the entire body was burnt of jealousy. Therefore, when his eyes opened, he couldn’t see anything and when his eyes closed he was imagined by the face of Kiai Singaprana which full of happiness. Without logical reason, at that night, Raga Ranting decided to kill Kiai Singaprana.

Raga Ranting who lived in the Kendeng mountainous tight the rope in the two top of the mountain, that was at the mountain of Kendeng and mountain beside it, which Kiai Singaprana lived in. Then Raga Ranting rolled an egg which run so fast from his place and crashed the top of mountain which Kiai Singaprana lived in. That crash created a very loud sound which more than a thousand of nuclear bomb’s explosion. As a result, the top of the mountain was broke ( or TUGEL in Javanese), but Kiai Singaprana was safe and his house still complete, included all of the furniture inside there. Knowing that fact, Raga Ranting became more hate to him. His hatred was beating. His entire body and soul were hold by his hatred, so his body destroyed, shattered without trace.

After years passed, Kiai Singaprana had felt that his time was coming. He left a message to his wife Nyai Singaprana, that if he died he wanted to bury in the mountain which broke because of the crashed of the Raga Ranting’s egg. Finally, Kiai Singaprana was died and he buried in the Tugel Mountain.

All kinds of jealousy, vengeance could destroy us while being a kind, nice and helpful person could give the peace and happiness to ourselves and the others.

My Holiday

Last week, I had a great holiday. My family and I went to Bandung. We stayed at our relative’s house at the centre of Bandung city. When we entered the house, we were fascinated by the beautiful small garden with the colorful flowers and a small fishpond. It gave the touch of relax situation at that house. I stopped, sat at the branch for a while to enjoy the beautiful look from the colorful flowers and saw the fishes swam inside the pond.


On Monday, we went to the first destination that was Tangkuban Perahu Mountain. A long the street to the mountain, there were high green trees on the street edge. Then we arrived at The Tangkuban Perahu Mountain. I felt the fresh air and took some pictures with the beautiful scenery on that place. The time was running, we felt hungry and decided to eat. We really enjoyed those delicious meals. Because it almost reached evening, we went home.


On Tuesday, we went to Cibaduyut, the second destination. I couldn’t wait to hunt the shoes at Cibaduyut. When we arrived, there was a crowd of people walked a long the street. My family and I looked for the good shoes and also with the cheapest price too. We did bargain in order to get the best price or the cheapest one. After we got the shoes, we moved to the bag shop. As a matter of fact, we didn’t have any plan to buy bags. However, the price at Cibaduyut, either shoes or bags was cheap, and finally we decided to use a part of our money to buy bags. Also, we didn’t forget to buy some souvenirs. In the evening, we went to our relative’s house.


Well, that was a great and wonderful holiday. I really enjoyed it. Spending the time to visit the interesting place with my family, bought some souvenirs, shoes, and bags, was the greatest holiday ever.

ELEPHANT
Elephants are large land mammals in two genera of the family Elephantidae: Elephas and Loxodonta. Three species of elephant are living today: the African Bush Elephant, the African Forest Elephant and the Asian Elephant (also known as the Indian Elephant). The elephant's gestation period is 22 months, the longest of any land animal. At birth it is common for an elephant calf to weigh 120 kilograms (260 lb). They typically live for 50 to 70 years, but the oldest recorded elephant lived for 82 years.


Elephant has gray thick skin, thick legs, huge sides and backs, large hanging ears, a small tail, little eyes, long white tusks and above all, elephant has a long nose, the trunk. The trunk, is a fusion of the nose and upper lip, elongated and specialized to become the elephant's most important and versatile appendage. The elephant draws up water by its trunk and can squirt the water all over its body like a shower bath. In fact, the trunk serves the elephant as long arm and hand.


The tusks of an elephant are its second upper incisors. Tusks grow continuously; an adult male's tusks grow about 18 cm (7 in) a year. Tusks are used to dig for water, salt, and roots; to debark trees to eat the bark; to dig into baobab trees to get at the pulp inside; and to move trees and branches when clearing a path. right- or left-tusked. The dominant tusk, called the master tusk, is generally shorter and more rounded at the tip from wear.


Elephants live in a structured social order. The social lives of male and female elephants are very different. The females spend their entire lives in tightly knit family groups made up of mothers, daughters, sisters, and aunts. These groups are led by the eldest female, or matriarch. Adult males, on the other hand, live mostly solitary lives.


Larger, long-lived, slow-breeding animals, like the elephant, are more susceptible to overhunting than other animals. They cannot hide, and it takes many years for an elephant to grow and reproduce. At the turn of the 20th century, it is estimated that elephants numbered between 5–10 million, but hunting and habitat destruction had reduced their numbers to 400,000 to 500,000 by the end of the century.

A historical novel that tells the intellectual journey of a human child (who was named by Pram Minke = monkey) to find the meaning of humanity and national identity of the early 20th century. Dealing with colonialism and its legal system is discriminatory, Minke see a lot of inequality, inequality, oppression, repression, politics of divide, division of class, and politics of colonial Indonesian human misery and humanitarian dropped to its lowest point in the struggle for Indonesian human history. How valuable can not inlander (priboemi) in the eyes of the colonial government. Various life experiences and disappointments experienced in his life, the life around her personal life, especially romance with Annelis, which because of different eye color must be experiencing a "tragedy". The emergence of the figure Nyai Ontosoroh, although only a mistress Totok Netherlands but with great pride as inlanders (priboemi) capable of being a "spiritual teacher" who instilled self-consciousness of the identity of the minke, which eventually led to the awareness to realize this nation, as the legitimate heir to the archipelago, to rise up and fight against colonialism. A very interesting novel, which will evoke the spirit of nationalism, the spirit of pride as a great nation. That our nation has experienced tremendous insult, and whether we will continue to preserve such opprobrium, or even raising awareness to the greatness of the nation, as it never achieved the Majapahit era.
The novel is quite extraordinary. Pram is mastering the context of colonial life at the time. Reading this work, our imaginations will become increasingly exasperated colonial occupation. Colonialism not only on something physical (the body and iron), but also the rights and obligations of idealism. Minke, who is described as an educated Javanese, HBS students, unable to defend their rights before the Dutch courts. In-law, Nyai Ontosoroh was a strong personality. He refused to be bound to the stereotype of the people about his questioning. In his hands, his daughter Annelies Mellema become a formidable business women. This book is very good read. The only Indonesian literary works translated into 30 languages in the world.

Holiday in Pasir Kencana Beach

Last week my friend and I were bored after three weeks of holidays, so we rode our bikes to Pasir Kencana Beach, which is only five kilometres from where I live. When we arrived at the beach, we were surprised to see there was hardly anyone there.

After having a quick dip in the ocean, which was really cold, we realized one reason there were not many people there. It was also quite windy. After we bought some hot chips at the takeaway store nearby, we rode our bikes down the beach for a while, on the hard, damp part of the sand. We had the wind behind us and, before we knew it, we were many miles down the beach.

Before we made the long trip back, we decided to paddle our feet in the water for a while, and then sit down for a rest. While we were sitting on the beach, just chatting, it suddenly dawned on us that all the way back, we would be riding into the strong wind.

When we finally made it back home, we were both totally exhausted! But we learned some good lessons that day.

Jaddin the Monk

A long time ago, there was a wise monk called Jaddin. He traveled across mountains, shallows, rivers, and seas. In every place he had visited, he helped people, animals, and even plants which needed his help by his wisdom. He brought back the harmonious to them.

There was one time when he came to a village in the foot of a mountain. They were live from the woods and got water from a small pond in the middle of the village. The water was supplied by a river run down the mountain. They did not know how it came or how to keep it still running. They just knew that they need water and food and they could find it in their surroundings. The monk felt pity for them because of by their attitude the wealth will leave them soon.

Soon after Jaddin left them, they opened new land to be lived in by burn the woods in the mountain. It was going okay at the first time, but later, they began to suffer for the scarcity of water. The water pond of the city was gone and they did not know where they should go to find another one. Soon, their field was dry, their lambs and cows was died for the dryness.

When knew about this, Jaddin rushed to the village and promised them to bring back their wealth if they gave him some promises and the people agreed.

Together with the people, Jaddin planted trees as many as those which had been cut down by the people. By his wisdom and his power, the trees grew fast to the size which they can accommodate water by the villager. Just by days, the pond had filled by water again and they began their new live in the village.

Jaddin was gone after he told them to keep the nature and live harmoniously with them.

Actions for Conservation

Unnes has been doing some actions to succeed the conservation movement.

In the middle of the rainy season this year, Unnes has succeeded plants one billion trees. This event was being helped by student’s organization as Pramuka, Mahapala, and PMR, once in two days for almost three months. The location was in the Trangkil Woods and some other locations near Unnes.

Last year, Unnes also began the making of lake or “embung” in the middle of campus area. This small lake will preserve the rain water and keep it for the dry season so the rain water won’t only flow away and can’t be used for human living.

Unnes has also change the asphalt square in front of the library into a green and beautiful park. The more green area the more oxygen we will get. The green area also will preserve the rain water into water ground storage.

The most impressing movement is the “paperless” movement that will be announced soon. The movement will make the educational system in Unnes use less paper that means fewer trees will be cut for paper.

There are also one another plan will be done for conservation movement. This plan will make the campus area free of gas emission from vehicle that is used to be ridden by not only students, but also the lecturers and staffs.

Conservation is a movement to protect the nature including the wildlife, animal, plant and their habitation.

People do conservation movement for some reasons. The early conservation movement was to keep the natural resources include fisheries and forests for their continued sustainable use by human. Some said conservation used to preserve the natural area and wildlife included for their goodness as any goodness that they have given for human. Another said that we should to keep it for our next generation, our children, to continue the way of live. I’ve also read that we should use the renewable resources as air, water, and earth wisely. Conservation being the worldwide main topic now on for human activities considered to be the cause of bad effect for the nature. For that we, human, also considered to take the responsibility to stop and fix this riot for the sake of our only earth.

Hermit In Banaran

Many years ago, there lived a hermit in a forest in Banaran island. He did not grow food but depended on the jungle fruit to survive. Soon, there was a drought, and all the plants and fruit trees in the jungle died.

The old man had nothing to eat now, so he turned to begging. He went to a nearby village in Sekaran island trying to get some food. At first, the villagers were happy to help him. However, when he came continually, they refused to give him any more food. They told him to grow his own food.

One day, while the hermit was sitting in his hut, sad and hungry, he began to think about growing his own food. Just then, a boatman stopped by and taking a pity on hermit gave him some “paddy” seeds.

Before the boatman went away, he said, “These seeds will grow and give you everlasting harvest if you work very hard. If you are tired of the work, the “paddy” plants will turn into weeds.”

The old hermit worked hard to clear the land and sowed the seeds before the rain came. Strangely, after a short period of time, the “paddy” was ready for harvesting. The old man got a lot of rice from the harvest. After each harvest, the plants grew back again right away.

When the villagers heard about the hermit and his wonderful “paddy”, they flocked to his “paddy” field and took home as much “paddy” as they could.

One day, hermit became so tired of harvesting the “paddy then he shouted,” Oh, stop growing, you wretched thing!” As soon as he had said this, the “paddy” plants turned into weeds.

Stranger Online was written by Carol Smith and created by Terry K. Brown. It first published in 1986 by A Division of Thomas Nelson, Inc. It tells us about the friendship between six extraordinary girls, Maya, Alex, Amber, Jamie, Morgan, and Bren, who create the TodayGirls.com Website.

This teen-novel tells us about the journey of the teenagers of junior high school which is fulfilled by laughter, tears, and lots of fun. Peek into their daily chats about plans, problems, boys, classes, parents, and million of real-life issues heading their way at cyber-speed. Amber, who created a website for privacy between she and herfriends chat, was sent an e-mail by “a stranger”. She, whom nick was faithful1, spent months working on security for TodayGirls.com but the stranger could infiltrate to her website, it frightened her so she decided to talk about it with her close friends, Maya as nycbutterfly and Bren as chicChick.

To save her reputation at school and keep her position on the swim team, Amber must uncover identity of mysterious stranger who has been sending threatening e-mail messages to her website. At the end of the story, Amber found that the stranger was one of friends of her.

This teen-novel leads us to face the teen-problems which usually happen. It is good to be read by teenagers because it teaches about friendship and faithfulness.

FLOOD

I was in the second grade of junior high school when it happened. That day was so cloudy so I expected that it would be raining so hard. Fortunately, I was in my school when it was raining. The day ran fast, but the rain did not stop yet. I bet that the rain made the rivers overflowed.

I met my cousin at the parking lots, we rode our bicycle to go home, because the rain was still running, we decided to break through the rain. We got wet immediately and be careful to get home. We travelled through the street which overflowed by the water. We were so careful because if we got slip we would splash into the river.

When we arrived at the highway, we thought that we escaped from the flood, but the next tragedy happened. We were almost glad that we, finally, would get home because that day was so terrible. However, we saw a crowd in front of us and we decided to check this out. We almost gave up when we saw a bridge, which was the only way to get home, overflowed by the water and we could not pass it because of the torrential current. We waited and waited until the current moved slow.

We had no idea about what we were going to do because it was in the late afternoon and we could not inform our parents about our condition, no choise, because at that time we had no cell-phone yet. When the current was moving slow, my cousin and I faced the current and guided our bicycles through the water. We were so fear because in the fact the current was not that slow, although we saw it was slower than before, actually the current moved fast. It also brought the mucks with it and it impeded our moving.

However, finally we arrived at the top road of the bridge, and we were not glad at all because we had to face the current, again. With the brave heart, we lunged at the current and we succeeded to pass it. We all were wet from the top until the bottom, and we continued our journey to go home.

When we were at home, our parents were looking forward to us, and we told them what actually happened along the road. That flood was the worst since I have been living in this town, and it subsided by the night passed

LILY AND THE DREAMLAND

Once upon a time, there was a girl named Lily. She was a little young stubborn girl. She lived with her parents in a big city. She was spoiled by her parents so that she was rather arrogant. Actually she had lots of friends, but because of her egotism, her friends went away from her. She had no friends in the end, so to cheer her up, her parents sent her to her grandparents’ house in the country.

At the very first time, she refused to be sent to the country because she thought that it would be so boring. Moreover, she had never met her grandparents since she was two years old, but her parents insisted her to move and it could not be helped anymore, so she decided to move in wrench way. She was drived there by her parents.

In the country, Lily’s grandparents were excited that their granddaughter would come. They set everything for their beloved granddaughter’s coming. When Lily arrived at the country, she found that the situation was totally different, green was in surroundings and she began to love this place. After setting her stuff up, she wandered around her grandparents’ house. She met another girls and boys who played together and it caused a bit jealous in her heart, but because of her arrogance, she ignored her feeling of loneliness and continued her wandering untill she was in the face of a forest. She felt a little bit scared and decided to go back to her grandparents’ house.

In the dinner, she asked her grandmom about the forest which she saw in her today wandering. Her grandmom warned her promptly that she was not allowed to go there anymore because the forest was dangerous.

“Lily, you may NOT go there anymore! That forest is dangerous!” warned her grandmom.

“Ok, grandmom.. I will not go there anymore, but I‘m a bit curious what happened behind that forest, because I found that that forest is just like another forest I saw along the road I went here.” said Lily, still in her stubbornness.

“That forest eats whoever who come into it, Lily. Once you come into the forest, you will never go back.” said her grandmom in a scary voice.

“Cool…” Lily murmured.

“That is NOT cool at all, my dear Lily. You have to put it in your mind that that forest is so dangerous! Understand?!” warned her grandmom, again.

Lily nodded as if she understood what her grandmom said, but Lily was still in curious about that forest. Then she went to her bed and before she slept, she made a promise to herself that she would go back to the forest someday. And yes, she would make it!

One day, her grandparents were away for paying a visit of an old friend. She was warned by her grandmom that she was forbidden to go to the forest, she nodded, again.

“It’s the time” she whispered.

She ran into the forest and stopped immediately, she got amazed that this forest was so beautiful.

“Why did grandmom forbid me to go to this forest? It’s so beautiful…” Lily murmured.

She kept walking and walking, she was not aware that she had walked so far, when she knew that she got lost, she began to be panic. She tried to trace her previous path, but she could not make it. Then she began to cry and regreted his fool decision to go to the forest.

“What’s going on dear?” asked a strange voice.

Lily gazed up and was surprised that she saw a honey bear stood in front of her.

“Aaaaaaargh…………” she screamed.

Then she fainted on the ground and heard nothing. When she was conscious, she saw a honey bear, a rabbit, and a squirrel.

“Are you ok?” aksed them.

Lily was afraid of them, she was speechless and did not know what to do.

“Are they talking to me?” thought her.

“Do you feel dizzy or what, honey?” asked a honey bear.

“You..you are an animal, but you can speak. Am I dead? Where am I?” asked Lily, in a confused face.

“Hahaha…you are not in a human world, girl. You are in the Dreamland! Of course we can speak as you can.” told a rabbit.

“What? I’m in what?” asked Lily

“THE DREAMLAND! You’re in the Dreamland, don’t you get it? You come into the forest and tada..you’re here!” said a squirrel.

Lily got up and looked around. She found that she was in a little cottage.

“So…you’re able to speak as me?” asked Lily.

“Is it a question? I’ve told you that, right?” asked a rabbit.

“Pip, don’t be too rough to her.” said a honey bear.

“Okey…”

“Oh..it’s name is Pip..” Lily whispered.

“You’re not afraid of us, are you?” asked a honey bear.

“Well..a bit..I just still don’t believe that you all can speak..and…I wanna go home, to my grandparents, they must be so worry about me.” said Lily.

“Oh.. yes, I understand..my name is Mary, anyway. You?” asked a honey bear.

“Lily..” Lily answered.

“Pip.” said a rabbit. “Jack.” said a squirrel.

“Oh..ha..hai…nice to see you all, it’s always nice to make new friends.” Lily said.

Deep, in the heart of Lily’s, she was so happy because, at least, she had friends. Although her friends were not human beings.

“So, are you going to go back to your grandparents’ house?” asked Jack.

“I wish I could.” answered Lily.

“How if we have a dinner first? I bet you’re hungry, my dear Lily.” said Mary.

“Emm..be honest, yes, I’m a bit hungry.” Lily was ashamed.

Along the dinner, Lily was told by her new friends that she could be there because she had passed the portal which connected with the human world. Then Mary told her that there were some other people who came into the forest too, but they could not be out from it because they did not want to follow their advice to jump down the Blackwell. In short, people who were from a human world had to jump down to the Blackwell which was placed in the middle of the forest if they wanted to go back to the human world, and it was the only way.

“But they got anger and ran away from us instead. They didn’t believe us.” said Mary.

“The last news which I heard that they were killed by Leo.” said Pip.

“Leo? Who is he?” asked Lily.

“Leo is a lion who always kills people who come from the human world.” answered Pip.

“Hah? Why? That means that I’ll be killed by him, too? Oh..no..I’ve to go out from this forest as soon as possible!” Lily panicked.

“Calm down honey..you’ll be ok. We’ll help you to go to the Blackwell.” Mary was cooling her down.

“But, How Mary? I’ve heard from my friends that Leo keeps an eye on the Blackwell! We cannot go there easily!” said Jack.

“But we have to bring her to the Blackwell as well, so that she can go home.” said Mary.

“Oh..God.. Do we have to face Leo? Ugh..I won’t, you’re pleased to do that then Mary. She came here by herself, so she goes back by herself, too!” said Jack.

“C’mon Jack…don’t be that coward!” Pip snapped.

“Coward? You said that I’m coward?! Ok then, you yourself help her!” Jack left the cottage.

Silent. Mary decided to help Lily, and so did Pip. They made a plan for escaping her.

In the following day, Lily, Mary, and Pip went into the middle forest for seeking the Blackwell. Actually, the one who knew the way to the Blackwell was Jack, but he was not in team so they had to manage their way by theirselves. However, Jack came up all of sudden.

“Well..I decided to help her, am I expected to be here?” asked Jack coyly.

“Whoa….Jack, of course! You’re in team now!” answered Pip and then hugged him tight.

Then, they continued their journey finding the Blackwell. When they arrived at the Blackwell, Leo blocked their way. He did not want if Lily jumped down to the well, of course! The one reason why Leo always killed people was not he wanted to eat them, but he avenged to all people because his family were killed by a human many years ago.

“Fight me then, if you can defeat me, she may get into the well.” Leo challenged.

“But it’s impossible! Leo must be so strong! No way! I won’t let you all fight him! I’d rather stay in this forest and die than let you all die for me!” Lily messed around.

“My dear Lily, you have to go out from this forest otherwise Leo will kill you, it’s better for us to die than you. You have to go back to your family.” said Mary, as usual, cooling her down.

“OK! Get set, ready, FIGHT!!!” Pip was impassioned.

When Pip and Mary were fighting Leo, Jack helped Lily to look for a chance whenever they could get into the well. And the chance was coming, Leo got weaker and weaker because he was hurt by Mary on the throat. Jack led Lily to the well, when they got the mouth-well, suddenly Leo fell down upon them. Lily and Jack fell into the Blackwell, together.

Silent. Nothing could be heard. Lily thought that she was died. But suddenly her cheek was hurt. She was conscious and saw Jack beside her.

“Hei Jack, thank’s for waking me up. Where are we now?” asked Lily.

However, Jack said something, but Lily could not understand what Jack said. And she found that they were in the face of forest.

“Jack, I dunno what you’re talking about. I don’t understand.” Lily said.

“Lily…Lily….where are you?” a voice called her.

Lily was aware about two things, first that Jack could speak just in the Dreamland, if he couldn’t speak, it means that they were in the human world! The second is that she knew that that voice was her grandpa’s, it means that she was in the human world!

“Jack, we’re home! We’re in my world! Yippiii…. Oh, thank’s Jack. You save my life! Mary and Pip too!” she was in a gaiety, but she suddenly felt sad.

“How about Mary and Pip? Jack, we have to go back!” said Lily.

But Jack held her finger, he shook his head.

“Yes, you’re right Jack, they sacrificed themselves to save me. So, what are we going to do Jack?” asked Lily. “We have to help them.” said Lily.

Kidnap Miyabi! Well, the first thing imagined after hearing the word Miyabi, well of course we all both know. At first I thought this movie not be much different from the video-the video is already circulating everywhere. But after watching this movie I was wrong.

The story is Maria Ozawa aka Miyabi is assigned to the Jakarta came to direct lottery winners from products dimodeli by him. There also were three friends: Kevin (Nicky Tirta), Ben (Hardi Fadillah), Aan (Farish Nahdi), which tied a bet and had to take a beautiful woman to a birthday party Jessica (Herfiza Novianti). The same day also, the three of them read on personal blogs Miyabi that inform that Miyabi was going to Jakarta. They bertigapun minded to pick kidnap Miyabi, which eventually became the title of this movie.

When a lot of friends I'm saying that this movie sucked, I think this film is not that bad. Indeed hell, from facet stories somewhat cheesy, but i liked wild humor contained in film. The film is successfully made me laugh, although sometimes there are moments where I laughed out loud and laughing mediocre.

Acting the cast here either very silly or very standard. Most of the acting feels a bit forced, not good, quasi-pretentious idiots, and this is very annoying me as a spectator because I did not like the same people are idiots. Imagine when lo have to watch a movie where most of the characters is a person who is very lo hate in everyday life. Please feel yourself how it feels.

Well, judging from the cinematography, there are several shots with the angle a good camera when the scene of shooting in Japan, but other than that the scenes of another, while in Jakarta, all standard. Nothing special about DOPnya. There's even a scene that SAME is used TWO times in ONE movie, please note carefully.

Fortunately, which I think become more value from this film, that film is not porn porn so, although there are some scenes bubble bath in a bathtub, but at least the Mie Yao Bie - Miyabi's wannabe and hasbeen - still using the tank top to cover body parts are private, and there are also scenes in the swimming pool where Mie Yao Bie use only bikinis very mini. But everything is still within acceptable limit, has not exceeded the limits of the norms that already exist. Can not believe? Please watch and compare with the Indonesian movies horror other who starred goddess of peach and please refer to the contents.

It's not that much good, but for me this movie quite entertaining. This film is not suitable for lo who want to watch with the motivation to watch painful for her because the star is very little appeared in the film. The film is more suitable viewing for those who want to look for entertainment on Saturdays.

However, recent studies have shown the benefits of healthy instead of playing video games that may be an alternative to fill holiday time. Playing video games can increase the sharpness and speed of thinking.

video games can sharpen thinking skills and speed of thinking and improve cognitive (intelligence) from the brain, especially for game action and puzzles.

Studies involving 25 students and was done with playing video games for an hour or more. Before and after playing video games, participants were asked to perform an intelligence test to determine the impact of playing video games on brain function. And the result is the improvement of brain function in certain parts.

Playing games that require the level of attention and focus that fast visual and movement of the motor can increase the speed and accretion in thinking.

Diana, Last Day of a Princess is a film tells about Princess Diana’s true life as a wife of United Kingdom Prince named Charles. This film was constructed by Bridget Rowe as an editor and Paul Denned as a picture editor. This controversial documentary recounts the final two weeks of her life through revealing interviews and dramatized reenactments. Highlights include interviews with biographer Andrew Morton; bodyguard Kez Wingfield; Dodi Al-Fayed's father and masseuse; and Jean-François Musa, owner of the Etoile Limousine service.
At the beginning, it shows the nearly time of Diana’s death in a car accident on August 31st 1997. At that time actually she still regarded as a Princess of people in the world even she had divorced from his husband. She still wanted to be an ambassador for her country although she was not a Princess anymore. Then the story goes back to her past. When she knew that Charles had another woman in his life, she felt depressed, but she didn’t show up her sadness to the people in her surrounding. Later on, a businessman Muhammad Al Fayed offered her to have a summer holiday in San Tropez. He promised her some luxurious facilities including her guarding. Beside that, he had a hidden planning that is to introduce Diana with his son, Dodi.
The plot uses in this film is flashback. The story emphasizes in Diana’s feeling. This movie combined actors and news footage to show how Diana reached the emotional state when she was in at the time of her death. I think that this movie pretty well portrayed Diana's last month of life, focusing on those last days. I would recommend it to any Diana fan. The movie did not go past the accident, and that was inferred rather than shown. I think that this was a good move. I also think that it would be interesting to pair this with the movie, "The Queen". Very professionally and thoughtfully done. I highly recommend it.

How is a Kite Flying?

A kite is an object which is made from a light material stretched over a frame. Due to its light material a kite will lift off the ground and fly when it is tilted into the wind.
A kite is uses wind to make it fly because it is heavier than air. When wind travels over the surface of the kite, it is split into two streams of air. One stream of the air goes over the kite while the second stream goes under the kite.
The upper stream creates an area of low pressure above the kite. The lower stream hits the kite at a shallow angle and creates an area of high pressure.
The high pressure area has a pushing effect while the low pressure area has a pulling effect. The combination of push and pull can create enough force to lift the kite into the air.
Kites have been known for thousand of years. They are used for military or scientific purposes. Today’s kites are much used for leisure and competition.

As we know that both analytical exposition and hortatory exposition are classified as an argumentative essay. Both present arguments to support the thesis stated in the orientation. This thesis places the writer’s position on the essay. From the generic structure, what makes major difference is that analytical exposition ends with paragraph to strengthen the thesis while hortatory makes a recommendation for readers.

1) Thesis: This pre-conclusive paragraph states the writer’s point of view about the topic discussed. Writer shows himself in clear position of the discussed topic. Paragraph 1 is the thesis of it. It states the fact of the very fatal impact of the smoking habit. Clearly, the writer wants to say that smoking is not a good habit.

2) Arguments: Presenting arguments in analytical exposition text is as important as giving conflict plot in narrative text. The series of argument will strengthen the thesis stated before. In this example of analytical exposition text, paragraph 2 and 3 are the detailed arguments presented in a reporting fact to support that smoking is not good even for smokers themselves. Furthermore, people who do not smoke but they are in a smoking area have the bad effect from a smoking habit as well.

3) Reiteration: The last paragraph actually restates the thesis. It is like a conclusive paragraph from the previous arguments. The last paragraph of the analytical exposition text above points again that smoking is not good for smokers and people around them. However, smoking is very beneficial to a Cigarette Companies.

Movie titled Enchanted is one of good movies released by Walt Disney in New York. The act of Amy Adams and James Marsden are best collaboration in this movie.
This movie which is directed by Kevin Lima tells us about how to believe in dream. The story itself tells how the fairy life comes through the real and modern life. The beautiful princess named Giselle (Amy Adams) try to look for her true love, which is in the story should be Prince Edward (Stephen Schwartz). But, the Queen, the evil one (Susan Sarandon) do not want if Edward marry, because she can lose her luxurious in palace. So, she sent Giselle to the real life and makes her meet her true love, Robert (Patrick Dempsey).
The amazing is when both of them meet but all of sudden Edward comes and the evil queen back to make them in dangerous event.
Amy Adams is a great princess in Giselle. And Patrick Dempsey as Robert can perfectly act as a father and a man who fall in love with the perfect woman. Stephen Schwartz and Susan Sarandon are good player in this Enchanted Movie, which is very enchanted.
All collaboration in this movie can make it as a great movie. Moreover, it tells us about fairy tale which can be alternate movie for children or family.

Turning up in Shutter Island with anxiety ridden Beantown investigator, is Leonardo DiCaprio as US Marshal Teddy Daniels. Daniels is summoned to Ashecliffe Hospital for the criminally insane on desolate, hurricane swept Shutter Island. His task is to figure out how a homicidal woman (Emily Mortimer) who murdered her own children, managed to escape a locked ward and disappear. Accompanied by his more cool headed and laid back partner Chuck (Mark Ruffalo), Daniels embarks on a nerve jangling journey into mass institutional madness possibly including the dubious on site practitioners, and which slowly comes to put his own grip on reality to the test.

This movie adapted from novelist Dennis Lehane's bestseller of the same name, Shutter Island plays out in 1954, immersing the narrative in both real and imagined paranoid inclinations. And touching on the repressive national period tendencies of McCarthyism, and frightening new experimental psychiatric procedures like electric shock and the transorbital lobotomy administered through patient eyeballs. And converging with World War II vet Daniels' own post-traumatic disorder combat nightmares.

As the detective is swept up into a deepening, depraved scenario in which he fears his own imminent incarceration by suspect shrinks (Ben Kingsley, Max von Sydow) because he may know too much, Daniels begins to doubt his own sanity. This, while fleeing assorted lost and found psychos, born again Nazis, and Red Scare gulag rehab for unrepentant communists on the loose.Unfortunately, the movie increasingly feels as schizo as the patients. Twilight is a film produced by Summit Entertainment. It is an American-fantastic movie. The main Characters are Isabella Swan and Edward Cullen.

It is about Seventeen-year-old Bella Swan who moves to Forks, a small town on Washington state's rugged coast, to live with her father, Charlie, after her mother remarries to a minor league baseball player. She is quickly befriended by many students at her new high school, but she is intrigued by the mysterious and aloof Cullen siblings. Bella sits next to Edward Cullen in her biology class on her first day of school; he appears to be disgusted by her, it makes Bella becomes confused. A few days later, Bella is nearly struck by a van in the school parking area. Edward inexplicably moves from some feet away and stops the van with his hand. He later refuses to explain this act to Bella and warns her against befriending him. After much research, Bella eventually discovers that Edward is a vampire, though he only consumes animal blood. The pair fall in love and Edward introduces Bella to his vampire family, Carlisle, Esme, Alice, Jasper, Emmett, and Rosalie. Soon after, three nomadic vampires, James, Victoria, and Laurent arrive. They want to eat her. Edward and his family risk their lives to protect her, but James tracks Bella to Phoenix where she is hiding and lures her into a trap by claiming he is holding her mother hostage. James attacks Bella and bites her wrist, but Edward, along with the other Cullen family members, arrives before he can kill her. James is destroyed and Bella is taken to the hospital.

What kind of vampire are they? What will happen to Bella? What will Bella’s father do if he knows Bella is injured? Will Bella become a vampire? What will Victoria and Laurent do when they know that their friend is destroyed? To find out the answer you must watch “Twilight”. I have to say that the story is bright, romantic, intriguing, and tremendously satisfying.

I like this film because it makes me anxious to watch the next scene, and the next, and so on. I will never feel bored to watch it.
