My Holiday in West Sumatra 2008

On the month of July in 2008 I went to West Sumatra for my holiday destination and it was very very moving experience for me specially the Minangese people it self was so friendly and always smile at you.

I arrived at the BIM Airport but don’t remember the date, and then pick up my rental car and start driving my rental car toward Stinjau Laut Road heading toward Muaralabuh Solok Selatan and on the way to Muaralabuh which is only about 3 hours driving from City of Padang. I stop my car some where on the top of Stinjau Laut Road on the side of the Road wanting to know the view from the top of Stinjau Laut Road and it was amazing experience to see all the view from the top and I stop there for while and start taking photo's with my Fuji Fine Pix S9500, I reckon I took heaps of photo's while I was there.

And then I continue my driving toward Alahan Panjang and stop there for a while and also took some photo's while I was there and then after that again I start driving toward my destination Muaralabuh and I tell you what it was wonderful driving on the way down to Muaralabuh and the scenery it was so beautiful, I love it and breath taking. Stayed in Muaralabuh for about three days and visit the area every where while I was there. On the fourth days I'm driving heading toward Solok, Batu Sangkar, Padang Panjang and Bukttinggi and stayed the night in Bukittinggi in one of the Hotel. At night, I went to see Jam Gadang and other places which is not so far from where I was staying and it was again wonderful experience meeting the lovely local people.

The weather at night it was so nice and not so hot, I love it there in Bukittinggi, could not wait going back there again in the near future. Got up in the morning the next day had some breakfast and coffee and start driving to Payokumbuah toward Harau Valley. I don’t remember how long it took us to get there but we arrived there about lunch time and again I took a lot’s of photo's again. In the afternoon driving toward Pariaman to catch the amazing Sunset and I got lots of photo's just for taking photo's from the side of the Road.

Going Back to Padang via Maninjau lake, by the time we got to Maninjau Lake I was so tired and could not wait to go back to Padang and have a rest because the next day I have to fly out to Jakarta. Arrived in Padang in the evening and have something to eat and after dinner we went to visit the Siti Nurbaya Bridge and also other places in the area near the Padang beach and by this time is already about nine a clock at night and my body is telling me to go home and go to bed and get ready to go to Jakarta in the Morning.

Anyway, the experience that I have while I was in West Sumatra something that I would never ever forget for the rest of my life. Could not wait to do it all over again hopefully soon.

The Legend of Nyi Loro Kidul

The domain of Nyi Loro Kidul, the legendary queen of the South Seas, is Parangtritis in Central Java. Her hair is green and full of shells and seaweed, and, she holds court over sea nymphs and other creatures of the deep. She is venerated and feared by the Javanese. In fact, they never wear the colour green when entering the sea for fear of offending Nyi Loro Kidul whose hair is green!

The legend of Nyi Roro Kidul herself is very popular. Before turning into a nymph, Nyai Roro Kidul was a young princess named Dewi Kandita, the daughter of King Mundangwangi and his first wife. The popularity of Dewi Kandita and her mother Dewi Rembulan was beyond doubt. They were known for their beauty, kindness and friendliness, and people loved them.

However, the misery of their lives began when Dewi Mutiara, another wife of King Mundangwangi, known locally as selir, became green with envy and grew ambitions to become the first wife, thereby deserving full affection and attention from the king.

Dewi Mutiara’s dream came true when one day she bore the son that the king had long been yearning for. Through the assistance of a witch, Dewi Mutiara made the king’s wives Dewi Rembulan and Dewi Kandita suffer from ’strange’ disease, with their bodies covered with scabies that created the odour of fish. The disease led them to be sent into exile in the forest where later Dewi Rembulan died. After a long, hard and helpless journey, the scabies-covered Dewi Kandita eventually arrived at a beach where she met a young, handsome man who promised to cure her illness.

At the request of the young man, Dewi Kandita chased after him as he ran along the beach. When she reached the water, the man disappeared and, to her surprise, all the scabies had disappeared but, strangely, she could not move her legs. Half her body, from the waist down, had turned into the body of a fish.

Since then she became a sea-nymph, and the locals believe that Nyi Roro Kidul is the manifestation of Dewi Kandita.

final assignment: My village

Kendaga is the name of my village. It is located in Banjarmangu sub-district, and Banjarnegara district. It has a variety of stunning natural attractions for tourists, such as the Earth's camp of Mount Lawe, protected Forest Pawinihan, Ngelak springs, and has various cultural attractions such as kesenian embek or lumping horse, seni karawitan, etc.
The land in my village is very unstable. It is a common thing to see the high ground on your backyard has collapsed one morning after a night rain. Or to turn all the way around to find a way to your school just because the common used way was closed in soil from the landslide.
Despite all the nature condition, most of people from my village earn money from farming because the land has fertile soil. They think positive about the natural phenomenon and help each other in every situation.

final assignment: Letter about Father

It was a usual evening in my home. Although the time hardly could be called a night yet, the sounds of the insects could be heard surrounding the house. No more sounds of busses or cars, just some of them along with the sounds of motorcycles every now and then from the road.
I sat in my dining room, absent-mindedly opening the two pages of newspaper, which was discarded on one of the chairs. That was when I found a letter from a reader on one page, it was about father.
It really reminded me of my own father. How he had struggled for the family. Then without warning my tears fell down my cheeks. I brushed it off with my fingers in hurry. My mother was eating right in front of me atg that time. Now, I am not a person who easily cries. It surprised me to see how easy a simple writing could touch one’s heart if you write with tender feelings too.

final assignment: The Old Me

The soft breeze softly touched my skin. Ugh… don’t grimace at me like that! Don’t you know that even a tree like me has skin too? Oh, you skipped the biology classes again, didn’t you? Ok, maybe it didn’t look like skin, too ragged, hey, I was old! I realized that yesterday, when I found that I was bigger than most trees surrounding me, and taller. You know how to measure a tree’s age right? With the rings in its log, no? you definitely has to repeat your biology class.
I had seen many things in my long life. What do you want to know? Blue-blooded family scandals? A duke with his mistresses? The beautiful rich girl who met her lover on my root? Or when people crazy about Elvis? The Beatles? And now what you called it? Red Hot Chili Peppers? That’s a ridiculous name, you know. Hearing all their songs made me dizzy, and that, made my leaves fell fast. I really prefer when people had picnic around me, within my shadow, listening to Beethoven, Batch, or something like that. The children ran around me, trying to climb up my branches while their parents discussing about the family future. Oh, how I wished to see those moments again.
I had seen the World War I in 1914 until 1918, the government frantically learned to mobilize and control the industrial societies. That was when this climate condition began. The global warming issue began in 1930s. People were afraid of the ice ages that were threatening to come. The ice in the Antarctic began to melt, they said.
Frankly enough, now, almost eight decades after that, the ice ages have never come. They said not yet anyway. But with approximately 1,6 billion people live in this earth, I know someday it will come. In my height, it is more difficult to breath from time to time. Oh no! you are questioning me again whether I breath, aren’t you? Of course I do, like every living creature in this world, I do need oxygen.
From my aging body, I could see the sun shines every morning on the east horizon. The green emerald had disappeared anyway. Now the shine fell to the dry ground, to the sky scrapers, trough the smoke of industrial waste.
With this old earth, I’m waiting for my own time to come. To when the termite has filled me to the bone. And I fell down with all of the glory I had known.

Review of The Tell Tale Heart

The Tell Tale Heart as published first in 1843. It is one of famous short stories and even to this day it is regularly anthologized.
The Tell Tale Heart is not just a story of adman though, it is also the story of a murder. The narrator shared a house with an old man and after days of careful planning and preparation the narrator murdered him. Although the narrator description of his crime is very detailed, much else in the story remains a mystery. The narrator never identifies himself and although it is usually presumed that this confession that masquerades as a declaration of sanity is coming from a woman.
I particularly enjoy the voice he uses for the old man and the echo effect added when he cries out "who's there?" adds a little extra creepiness. I also noticed that, as he tells the story, he gradually seems to become more and more unhinged and the way that Mr, Davies does this really brings the story life. I give him top marks for his telling of the story.

Legend of Borobudur Temple

Borobudur was built by an architect, named was Gunadharma. The construction has been estimated to have taken 75 years and been completed during the reign of Samaratungga in 825.
There is confusion between Hindu and Buddhist rulers in Java at that time. Construction of Buddhist temple was possible because Sanjaya's immediate successor, Rakai Panangkaran granted his permission to the Buddhist followers to built some temples. Panangkaran gave the village of Kalasan to the Buddhist community as is written in the Kalasan Charter dated 778 AD.
It is likely that there were two rival royal dynasties in Java at the time ( the Buddhist sailendra and the saivite sanjaya). This confusion also exist regarding the Lara jonggrang temple at the prambanan complex, which was believed that it was erected by the victor Rakai Pikatan as the Sanjaya's dynasty's replay to Borobudur, but other suggest that there was a climate of peaceful coexistence where Sailendra involvement exist in Lara jonggrang.

Teaching For the First Time

Three years ago, I had an experience in teaching students in a formal school for the first time. This was the story.

One day, my mother, a kindegarten teacher in a play group was sick. Then, my mother asked me to teach her students. I could not say no at that time. It was because there was no another person to teach her students.

At 7 a.m, I arrived at school. All students accompaning by their parents had arrived too. Then, I started the class. I asked them to pray together. Their voices were very loudly and the class became so crowded. After that, I taught them some songs. I sang “balonku”, “topi saya bundar”, and many more. I was very happy because they were very excited. They directly followed me singing those songs.

At 8 a.m, I asked the students to paint a picture. All of the students were very excited. They all had brought the complete stasionary. They also had brought all colours of crayon. I did not expect that my mother’s students were dicipline and smart. After they finished their painting, they collected it to me.

At 9 o’clock, the class was over. I asked the students to pray together and they still did it with the loudly voice. Then, they left the class. Their parents had been in front of the class to pick their child up.

This was my first experience in teaching. I was very exhausted after it, but I was very happy and I could not forget about it.

An Exhausting Day

This semester was an exhausting time for me. I almost didn’t have much time to take a rest and to think other lectures. Everyday just theatre, theatre, and theatre. I spent the whole day of this semester in campus. It was started from morning until midnight.
Firstly, my friends had chosen me to be the leader of theatre. I felt that it would be the most difficult thing at first, but actually as the days run I was very enjoyed that moment.
After being chosen as the leader, the director asked me to be one of the actors who played in theatre performance. Too much thought about that, I was hospitalized for about a week. My friends always gave me support that I could handle all.
Seeing all my friends are very enthusiasm in joining theatre class made me enthusiams too. I tried to be a good, wise, care leader for my friends and not forget to remember the script that I must memories. Not only memorizing, but I also had to use my gesture and facial expression in acting as other person.
Finally, theatre subject in this semester had come to the end. So many things and much experience I got from this lesson. Although it was hard in the beginning, I try to enjoy everything in y life.

FLOOD

Flood is an overflow of an expanse of water that submerges land. It is included one of the most frightened disasters in the world. This disaster brings a lot of bad effect to nature and people.

There are three kinds of bad effect that caused by flood; primary effects, secondary effects and long-term effects. First is about the primary effects. The examples of primary effects are physical damage and casualties. Physical damage can damage any type of structure, including bridges, cars, buildings, sewer systems, roadways, and canals. From casualties, people and livestock die due to drowning. It can also lead to epidemics and waterborne diseases.

The next is secondary effects. The examples are water supplies, diseases, crops and food supplies and trees. Water supplies mean contamination of water. Clean drinking water becomes scarce. Diseases mean unhygienic conditions. Spread of water-borne diseases. Crops and food supplies mean shortage of food crops that can be caused due to loss of entire harvest. However, lowlands near rivers depend upon river silt deposited by floods in order to add nutrients to the local soil. And Trees mean non-tolerant species can die from suffocation.

The last is long-term effects. The example is economic. Economic here means economic hardship, due to: temporary decline in tourism, rebuilding costs, food shortage leading to price increase ,etc.

From the explanation above, we know that flood causes many bad effects to our live especially our environment. So, we must care about cleanness of our environment.

RECYCLING
Recycling is a process to treat things that have already been used so they can be used again. Nowadays, recycling is necessary to do.
First, we can save energy through the recycling. We can use the recycled goods because it uses less energy than produce a new product from a new material. In paper production, we do not need many new trees to produce paper so we can keep that natural energy.
Then, we can also reduce pollutions in our environment. Recycling utilize the garbage to make something new. So, if we do more recycling it will more reduce the amount of garbage and save our environment from the pollutions.
Finally, we can also save money because the price of the recycled goods usually cheaper than usual. The cost production of recycled goods is also lower than when we produce new products.
Therefore, for the reasons above we can conclude that recycling of goods is necessary.

When she mused, a grasshopper came to her and asked why did she look very sad. She told the grasshopper what that happened to her, about her friends’ indignities. After listening to her, the grasshopper smiled wisely.
“You are too young, Honey. Never think what that they said to you, they do not know what will happen tomorrow. Just be your self and enjoy your life. Someday, you and them will realize the real meaning of life.” said the grasshopper.
“Really? But I am ugly. They all said like that.” cried her.
“Believe that you are beautiful, do not be so desperate, Honey. Just wait for the right time and you will know if they were wrong.”
“I hope. Thank you. It makes me better.” She smiled.
Since that, she never thought about her friends words and replied their bad attitude with a nice smile.

Night at The Museum

Starri
ng:Ben Stiller, Robin Williams, Carla Cugino, Steve Coogan, Owen Wilson,Dick van Dyke, Bill Cobbs, Mickey Rooney
Director: Shawn Levy
Studio: 20th Century Fox
Release Date: Dec 22, 2006
Running Time: 108 mins.
Country Of Origin: United States
Larry Daley, a down-and-out dreamer whose imaginative ideas have never paid off, finds himself in desperate need of a job. Larry has always believed he was destined for big things. But he has no idea just how literally gargantuan and hairy a challenge he will face when he grudgingly accepts the supposedly menial graveyard shift as a security guard at the Natural History Museum. On his very first night on the job, Larry is handed an over-sized flashlight and a dog-eared instruction manual, then left all alone in the eerily quiet, cavernous museum. At least, he thinks he’s alone. To his utter astonishment and disbelief, Larry watches in shock and awe as, one by one, the primeval beasts and storied icons that surround him stir magically to life--and total havoc ensues. Now, as Tyrannosaurus Rex and Atilla The Hun carve a swath of destruction through the marble corridors, and lions and monkeys prowl the fragile exhibits, Larry is at a loss as to how to get the museum back under control. At his wit’s end, Larry must recruit the help of historical heavyweight Teddy Roosevelt just to survive the night. Facing the possibility of losing his job and letting down his son Nick yet again, Larry must wage an incredible battle to save the museum, hoping to become at last the bold, adventurous dad he’s always wanted to be. The man who’s been forever waiting for his moment of greatness--just found it.
The movie is well paced, jumping almost directly into the action, with plenty of laughs. From Rexie's puppy-dog antics to the war between Old West Cowboys and Roman Centurians, there is something around every corner.
The only stinker in this film is the kid. He's totally under-utilized for the storyline, they could have improved the storyline by either leaving the kid out of the movie entirely, or by giving him something to do. The pseudo-love-interest, too, should have either been played up or left out.

THESIS
When you are having a lecture in any kinds of course, you will find that there are some students who take notes and write some points that are being delivered by the lecturer, and some other students who do not take any notes at all. Taking notes when joining classes and having lectures is very important based on several reasons.

ENGLISH PRIVATE TEACHER

I was in the third semester when one of my friends offered me to join in LBB (lembaga bimbingan belajar) where she worked. I was offered as English private teacher because I am English department student. I was really interested to be a private teacher, so I accepted her offer.

My first student was in the seventh years of junior high school. Her name is Tiara. It was my first duty, so I was nervous when I had to teach her. From my first impression, she was lazy because she always griped when we were studying. However, after five or six meeting, I could see that she had big interest in English. She tried to develop her ability from watching movies or listening music. Therefore, I did not have any difficulty to teach her.

After I was Tiara’s English private teacher, the owner of LBB offered me to take more students. My new students were sibling. The older sister is Dita and the younger sister is Ita. Dita was tenth years of senior high school student. Ita was fifth years of elementary school student. Actually, their father wanted me to teach the older one, but the younger one had strong desire to learn English, as a result I had to teach both of them. Since I had another activity, I could not teach them again.

I was still tiara’s teacher but not anymore with Dita and Ita. After that,I had another additional student. Her name is Hesti, She was also seventh years of junior high school student. I rarely taught her because she was busy student, she had a lot of activities. In my opinion, she had not strong interest to learn English. She was interested in Indonesian literature and she had read a poem in Indonesian language at Istana Merdeka.

When I was in the middle of forth semester, I thought that I could not do as private teacher and student at the same time. Therefore, I decided to resign as teacher.

Title : A BEAUTIFUL LETTER ABOUT BEAUTIFUL PLACE FOR MY BEAUTIFUL FRIEND

Jakarta, December 23rd 2007

ORIENTATION:

Dear Seara,,,

I will never forget to say that I really miss you. How’s your holiday girl? I hope your holiday as interesting as mine. Do you remember about going to Yogyakarta? Yes, I went there by myself. I will share with love about my fantastic trip and with some pictures in this letter, I that I can show you some nice places of Yogyakarta.

SEQUENCE OF EVENTS:

Let me begin my story,,,

Firstly, I felt the atmosphere of Parangtritis beach in the south of Yogyakarta. As what we imagined before, the beach has shoreline as long as in Kuta Beach. Guess what?? I got a nice photograph about my first experience when I was riding a horse in Parangtritis, I was nervous at that time. After three hours lying under the sun, I drove my car, yes I was alone, and went to Kraton Yogyakarta. I wished you were there with me. I had many nice angles when I walked around this place because Kraton is the part of Kraton Palace. The richness of Javanese culture I can felt in this place. Besides, Kraton shared me the picture of some ancient carts that was usually used by the King of Kraton Palace. I was hungry after two hours in a hot sun walking alone, so I decided to have lunch. A guide talked to me, and gave me a suggestion about having lunch in Gudeg Mataram. I had to get there about fifteen minutes. Can you imagine the taste of Gudeg? First time I heared the name, it was very unusual, but you have to taste it by yourself, delicious indeed. The next place I visited was Malioboro. Trust me, this place was the best corner of Yogyakarta. One stop shopping is another name of this place. I bought some handcrafts, and one of them now is in your hands. I found traditional clothes called Batik, traditional foods such as “bakpia, cenil, gudangan, pecel, peyek, yangko”, and many more. I couldn’t remember all the names but I tasted most of the traditional foods there. Almost four hours I enjoyed sightseeing in Malioboro with my guide. Later, I said goodbye to my nice guide, then went to my last place named Kaliurang that is located in the north of Yogyakarta. I was a little bit tired at that time so I enjoyed Kaliurang by taking a deep breath to feel the fresh air there. I drove my car to see a different angle about this place until I was satisfy. Because I was not in a good condition, I decided to check in a motel and went to Jakarta on the next day in the morning.

REORIENTATION :

Seara my friend,, by this letter, I hope that you can feel what I’m feeling now. After I did my trip to Yogyakarta, I want to get there with you someday.

With love,

The Ineffectiveness of ILMO Applied in UNNES

THESIS:

The uses of ILMO (Internet Learning Motivation) that are applied in UNNES are still ineffective. There are several kinds of ineffectiveness which I state here.

ARGUMENTS:

First, there are many lecturers who don’t have contribution in using ILMO as their other way of lecturing. It is because in being the member of ILMO, lecturers need more times in uploading or controlling their contributions. Moreover, lecturers don’t upload the materials they taught in class as well. They can’t arrange their time in the way of spreading out their particular materials in ILMO. Besides, the lecturers who have uploaded assignments to their students should orally inform their students in order to do the assignments. This condition shows that the existence of ILMO can’t directly gives a good connection between students and lecturers. The next ineffectiveness is that not all students have either personal computers or internet connections. It can give impact on how students spend their times and money to update the data that uploaded in ILMO. For example, students will spend more times to go to “warnet” to get the newest information about a particular subject. In addition, they will also spend their money to pay the cost for getting the internet connection itself. The last, even if the students have personal computers or notebooks, they will face another problem that is the internet connection. UNNES gives facility that is called “free hotspot area”, which can be used by all students of UNNES if they have accounts in SIKADU. By having this facility, students can freely get the internet connection. In fact, the one who want to use the free internet connection in UNNES is disturbed by the low signal and slow connection. They sometimes get troubles during sign in on the internet connection.

REITERATION:

In short, there are still several troubles in applying ILMO as e-learning in UNNES to be used as effective as it should.

NARATIVE TEXT - George Washington and the Cherry Tree (For Final Assignment)

When George Washington was about six years old, he was made the wealthy master of a hatchet of
which, like most little boys, he was extremely fond. He went about cutting everything that came his way.

One day, as he wandered about the garden amusing himself by hacking his mother's pea- sticks. He found a beautiful, young English cherry tree, of which his father was most proud. He tried the edge of his hatchet on the trunk of the tree and barked it so that it died.

Some time after this, his father discovered what had happened to his favourite tree. He came into the house in great anger and demanded to know who the naughty person was who had cut away the bark. Nobody could tell him anything about it. Just then George, with his little axe, came into the room. His father asked him about the tree. This was a hard question to answer, and for a moment George was staggered by it, but quickly recovering himself he cried: "I cannot tell a lie, father, you know I cannot tell a lie! I did cut it with my little axe."

Surprisingly, the anger died out of his father's face, and taking the boy tenderly in his arms, he said: "My son, that you should not be afraid to tell the truth. It is more to me than a thousand trees! Yes, though they were blossomed with silver and had leaves of the purest gold!"

Review “Sherlock Holmes: The Sign of Four” (For Final Assignment)

Orientation:Rata Penuh
The Sign of Four, originally published in 1890, is the second Sherlock Holmes novel by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Holmes' ever faithful sidekick, Dr. Watson, narrates this tale that will have them searching the streets of London for a thief, a fiendish murderer, and a treasure.

Interpretative Recount:
This story begins with Dr. Watson advising Sherlock Holmes against dabbling with drugs because of the long-term dangers. Then, Holmes is asked to observe a watch and deduces the habits of the previous owner. When he is observing, Miss Mary Morstan visits with her problem. Her father mysteriously disappeared ten years earlier. For the last six years she received a large pearl in the mail. Now she received a letter telling her she was wronged and asking for a meeting. Holmes and Watson will accompany her. Their carriage arrives at a house in a new terrace. They meet Thaddeus Sholto, one of the sons of Major Sholto, the best friend of Mary Morstan's father, Captain Morstan. Thaddeus tells why he knows about the story. His brother, Bartholomew discovered the hidden treasure. When they arrive they find Bartholomew murdered in a locked room and the treasure missing! The police are called. They arrest Thaddeus and the servants as accomplices.

Sherlock Holmes borrowed a dog to follow the scent of the small man who stepped in creosote. They follow the scent to the water's edge; they look around and find information. Holmes sends the Baker Street Irregulars to search for the missing steam launch. Holmes himself locates the `Aurora', and the police launch later chases it downstream in a wild chase. Holmes and Watson shoot the Andaman islander, and then Jonathan Small is captured with the treasure chest. Watson gained a treasure. Small tells about the Agra treasure from the time of the India Mutiny.

The story about the Agra fort and the mutiny shows the attitudes of the English public. The English conquered India for its loot, just as in other wars. But the Four decided to enrich themselves and follow the example set by the royal rulers, English or Indian. A double-dealing rajah straddled the conflict and split his assets; it failed because of others who took advantage of their position. But their plan failed because of an unforeseen watcher. The Four who killed for riches were swindled out of their fortune by a clever liar who took advantage of his position.

Evaluation:
The first three fourths of this book were surprisingly easy to read. Though the writing style is somewhat formal, it doesn't feel dated, and it's easy to forget you're reading something written over a century ago. The story starts off quickly giving insight into both men's personalities – Holmes with his penchant for drug use to escape boredom and Watson with his insecurities. It's fascinating to see the deductive reasoning that Sherlock Holmes is so well known for played out in the earlier chapters. The excitement builds as the men near the end of their search. However, it sort of fell flat in the last few chapters.

Evaluative Summation:
Perhaps not the finest example of Arthur Conan Doyle's talent, but The Sign of Four is certainly entertaining. The developments of Holmes and Watson in this particular book are for more interesting, though, than the plot.

Camping

Last holiday, my friends and I went camping on the mountain. We went to Guci, Tegal. The spot is near from our town. I is about 2 hours to get there. We choose Guci because it is not too far from settlement.

We prepared everything before going on camping. The boys prepared the tents, the girls prepared the food, and I checked the accommodations. We brought cooking utensils and the food from home, clothes, camera, guitar, etc. We went there by a car and a motorcycle for unwanted condition. We went there in the sunny morning and hoped no rain during camping.

On the first day, we sat up the tent on the spot near waterfall. The girls made the fence of the area but the boys took a bath on the river. Then, we cooked the food for the lunch, had lunch together, tried to fish in the river but we got a sandal.

On the second day, we had some activities. We went on hiking up the mountain, took some pictures in tea garden, and picked strawberry. The last night of our camping was so cold, we made a campfire, sang song together and told spooky stories which made us fear.

We had camping for about three days. On the last day, we packed everything we bought. we cleaned the area and made sure there was nothing left except our footprint. We didn’t took anything except took photos, we remembered that we must keep the nature, friendly with them and they will be friendly with us. We made a memory by taking photos together in front of a waterfall and then went home happily. We felt very tired.

FINAL ASSIGNMENT MOVIE REVIEW

WALL-E

Staring : Ben Burtt, Elissa Knight, Jeff Garlin, Fred Willard, Kathy Najimy, Sigourney Weaver, John Ratzenberger

Director : Andrew Stanton

WALL·E It’s sweet, clever, funny, and visually stunning. WALL·E (an acronym for Waste Allocator Load Lifter – Earth Class) is the last robot standing in what appears to be futuristic. The human race left hundreds of years ago, but WALL·E continues to do his job, building skyscrapers of compacted trash and collecting random knick knacks that he finds amusing. One day a giant ship arrives and unleashes a sleek little probe named EVE. WALL·E is smitten with her and offers her his knick knacks to impress her, but regrets the move when she sees the plant he found growing in a pile of junk. EVE, per her directive, confiscates the plant and calls the ship back to retrieve her. Desperate not to lose her, WALL·E hitches a ride on the ship and lands on the Axiom, the mother ship of the Buy ‘n Large Corporation. Once the ship’s captain learns of the plant’s existence, he wants to return the ship back to Earth. His robotic crew, however, has other plans.

Most of the technical praise that “WALL·E” will receive will be for the visuals – and it deserves every accolade it receives – but the sound work is flat-out astounding. WALL·E and EVE say little more than their names and each other’s names, and the rest of the robots, with the exception of the Captain’s slightly menacing assistant, do not speak. However, the gibberish sounds they make cover the entire spectrum of human emotion, and you can understand exactly what they’re saying and feeling. For those who were nervous about the movie’s supposed lack of dialogue, fear not. As for the visuals, well, here is all you need to know. The scene of WALL·E and EVE dancing in space, not to wallow in hyperbole, is poetic.

Pity, then, that the part of the plot involving the humans proves to be more liability than asset. While there is a valid point in their attempts to show that technology makes people lazy, the absurd lengths that they take this point do not feel genuine to the rest of the story. As for Buy ‘n Large owning everything from grocery stores to interstellar cruise ships to the government, well, that’s blunt force trauma with the message stick in comparison to the rest of Pixar’s work, and it diminishes the script’s finer details, namely references to the work of both Rankin & Bass and “Galaxy Quest.”

“WALL·E” has a soul. I suppose that is a message in itself, but after the bits about the environment, technology and the dangers of corporations wielding too much power, I chose to focus on the positive, and there are lots of positives on which to focus.
